((
In a poll conducted Sunday through Tuesday, 42- percent of likely voters say they like Don Beyer to 46- percent for Jim Gilmore.
That four point lead finally puts Gilmore just outside the three-and-a-half percent margin of error -- into a clear frontrunner slot.
Among white voters, Gilmore's got a 16- point advantage.
Among black voters, Beyer's well out in front... but NOT by the margin recent Democrats have needed statewide with black voters to win.
Regionally, Gilmore is now leading or up slightly within the margin of error in every region of the state except Northern Virginia, Beyer's home turf. ))

WEREN'T SOME OF THE QUESTIONS ABOUT ABORTION?
ANCHOR=ellen

Right Jean.
One question was on pregnant teens having to get a parent's PERMISSION -- not just notified -- before an abortion.
SUPER=22-Richmond;

The other question was whether a wife should be required to inform her husband before getting an abortion.
The Supreme Court won't allow that -- but Jim Gilmore said two weeks ago he favored the concept, and was blasted by Don Beyer.
The Post poll on both issues showed more Virginians agree with Gilmore on further abortion limits.
