A 31-year old Pittsylvania County woman is dead after her husband apparently
shot her early this morning.
29-year old Mark Dana Turner is in jail without bond, charged with murder.
Sheriff's deputies found Kimberly Turner dead at the couple's Gallery Road
mobile home around 1:30 this morning.
That's in the Axton community of Pittsylvania County.
Police say they don't yet know the motive behind the shooting.
Jens (Sir-ing) Soering has won a legal round.
The state's highest court will hear his request for a new murder trial.

(Sir-ing) Soering was convicted seven years ago for the 19-85 deaths of Derek
and Nancy Haysom, who were the parents of Soering's girlfriend.
Two drifters were arrested in Bedford County the same week as the murders,

implicate the pair in the killings.
The Virginia Supreme Court has agreed to review the case.
