Before the Pulaski County football player collapsed on the football field last month-- they say he talked about becoming a lawyer.
Tonight-- they'll watch as their son's number 77 jersey is retired.

Regina Cook says her son especially enjoyed choir--
But it's her son's talent on the football field-- most people remember.
Ironically-- it was the sport that also contributed to his death.
Cook was there the night a rare medical phenomenon caused her son to collapse on the playing field.
A medical examiner determined Cook was hit in the chest at the same split second his heart was electrically re-charging itself for another beat.
But Cook says parents shouldn't be alarmed.

Students in Nelson County got an unexpected holiday after vandals paid an overnight visit to Nelson County High School.

Authorities say two fire extinguishers were discharged in a hallway and stairwell at the school.
Cleanup was going to take several hours to complete so the students were sent home early.
