Some new developments in the ongoing U-S standoff with Iraq.
President Clinton today issued orders to beef up U-S military forces in the
Persian Gulf.
He's sending a second aircraft carrier into the region.
The action comes comes amid heightened tensions over Iraq's
expulsion of American arms inspectors.
The six U-S inspectors kicked out arrived in Jordan this morning.
And now the entire U-N inspection has also left the country, leaving behind
only a skelton crew.
Last night the U-N security council issued a second resolution condemning
Iraq.
President Clinton calls today's military buildup an appropriate action.
