One person died when runaway rail cars crashed through the wall of a factory
in Wisconsin.

A dozen cars jumped the tracks outside the plant early this morning.
Two of the cars crashed through the wall, sending about 30 workers running
for cover.
One worker was missing, but rescue workers had no heavy equipment capable of
lifting the heavy train cars.
The victim was finally located under one of the derailed cars.

It was a standing room only crowd in the Oak Hill Baptist Church in Bassett.
Everyone was there to say good bye.
75-year-old Garnet Via, Senior, 72-year-old Alice Gravely Via, and 33-year
old Jerri Via were three of the six people who died in a house fire Wednesday
morning.
The others included 9-year-old India Manns, 6-year-old Johntea Manns and
four year-old DeAngelo Terry.
Students at Campbell Court Elementary wrote letters about their friendships
with the young victims.
The community and family members are still in shock.

Meanwhile, Virginia juries are sending more criminals to death row than they
used to.
In the last 30 days, juries in the Commonwealth recommended the death
penalty for four men... another man was sentenced to death by a judge.
It's a big change compared to the past two years... during which a total of
three men were sent to death row.
The state has executed seven men so far this year... two more are scheduled
to die next month.

Police say he hanged himself.

legend Mickey Mantle.
The controversial auction brought in nearly 525 thousand dollars.

platinum card signed by the slugger brought in 7,000 dollars.
But, many members of Mantle's family protested the auction and threatened to
take legal action.
Hours before the start of the sale, the family, Leland's Auction house of
New York and Mantle's longtime companion Greer Johnson reached a settlement--
agreeing to withhold 33 items.
Mantle's birth certificate and prescription bottles were among the items
pulled from the auctioning block.

to use for a satellite rescue attempt.
NASA will likely ask crew members to, once again, try to recapture a
satellite that has failed.
It was launched from the shuttle Friday.
Earlier attempts to retrieve the satellite were not successful.
