mile marker.
State police say a tractor trailor was unable to stop for a traffic backup,
and plowed into a car causing the wreck.
Investigators confirm Alma Gertrude Weeks of Durham, North Carolina died at
the scene.
The accident is still under investigation.

assault and battery.
61-year old Joseph Whitehead is accused of hitting a teenager in the head
with a pistol.
Investigators say he accused the 17-year old of stealing from him, threatened
to kill him, then hit him in the back of the head.
Investigators also found guns and ammunition at Whitehead's home.
Whitehead is a convicted felon and not allowed to own firearms.
