But first we begin with some unsettling news concerning the high school football championship game set for this coming weekend in Division Five.
William Fleming is scheduled to play Hampton at Norfolk State University in the brand new 30 thousand seat Dick Price stadium.
But last night the Tidewater area was hit with close to an inch and a half of rain.
Well, today News 7 sports learned that the executive director of the high school league was in Norfolk inspecting the field trying to determine if the deluge has made it unplayable.
If so, one of the options was moving it to Foreman Field, an astroturf facility - the other was playing the game on Hampton's home field at Todd Stadium.

Charlie Hartig, a spokesman for the City of Norfolk said his office found out about the possible move just this afternoon. He said the city will do everything to have the field in great shape for the game including using helicopters to dry it out.
He says he expects the VHSL to honor its two year contract with the city to play the game at this site.
