Two of the three Franklin County churches vandalized last week opened their doors for services yesterday.
Five teens spray-painted the churches with offensive slogans and satanic symbols.
As David Johnson reports, while there are now no signs of the vandelism it was a very different situation a few days ago.

Inside this building, the furniture was destroyed and the Christmas tree overturned, in addition to the exterior damage.
Investigators aren't sure of what sparked the incident, but they don't believe it was racially-motivated.

Rescue workers had to use the jaws of life to free one person after an accident on Greenridge Road in Roanoke last night.

The car overturned --throwing one person out of the vehicle. Another person had to be cut out of the car using the jaws of life.
Investigators say speed may have been a factor in the wreck.
Both victims were taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Virginia's Governor could be looking at becoming Virginia's next Senator.
George Allen dropped a solid hint about the possibility of running in three years.
Allen said at a weekend meeting of Republican leaders that supporters have been encouraging him to start focusing on the 2000 campaign or beyond.
But Allen emphasized that he has NOT made a final decision.
The Senate seat is now held by Democrat Chuck Robb, who hasn't yet said whether he plans to seek another term.

Governor-elect Jim Gilmore be inaugurated January 17th.
Today he will travel around the state to announce activities leading up to the event.

The inauguration is expected to draw thousands of visitors to the state Capitol grounds in downtown Richmond.

And, police say the number of fatal accidents on Virginia's highways is also climbing.

Still shaken from their across-the-board defeat in the statewide races last month, Virginia Democrats are making a new game plan.
Senator Chuck Robb told party- members at a meeting over the weekend that it would be foolish to fight the car tax cut proposed by Republican Governor-elect Jim Gilmore.
Robb credited the G-O-P for running a "tactically brilliant" campaign and said Democrats need to learn from it.
