Three schoolchildren have been just shot to death, others seriously wounded by a 14 year old. We grieve and question each child/gun tragedy. Is the Guinness Book beckoning? An NRA poster child? Endorsements? Triggers for Tots?
Another holiday season of beauty, bright lights and colors and still praying for peace on earth. A little girl with a gun and a dead bear does not paint a pretty picture.

Wreckage from the crash was scattered over a half mile area.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, but officials on the scene say weather was not a factor.
The F-A-A has sent an inspector to the crash site, and the National Transportation and Safety Board is also investigating.

Feeling the loss of the first ever Republican sweep of Virginia's top offices, state Democratic leaders met over the weekend to talk about reviving their party.
Senator Chuck Robb told his fellow Democrats it would be foolish to fight the car tax cut proposed by Republican Governor-elect Jim Gilmore.
Robb credited the G-O-P for running a "tactically brilliant" campaign and said Democrats need to learn from it.

Inside this building, the furniture was destroyed and the Christmas tree overturned, in addition to the exterior damage.
Investigators aren't sure of what sparked the incident, but they don't believe it was racially-motivated.

George Allen seems to be thinking of going from Governor to Senator.
He dropped a solid hint about the possibility of running in three years.
Allen said at a weekend meeting of Republican leaders that supporters have been encouraging him to start focusing on the 2000 campaign or beyond.
But Allen emphasized that he has NOT made a final decision.
The Senate seat is now held by Democrat Chuck Robb, who hasn't yet said whether he plans to seek another term.
