Reno insists she followed the law when making her decision.
Republicans say she focused on dotting the i's in the law, but missed the
Goodyear union members in Danville have a chance to change their minds after
refusing to work a mandatory Sunday shift.

Tina Tenret talked with some members at the union hall today.
Tina, it was just a month ago, they voted AGAINST a seven day work-week
Jean, union workers are deciding today whether to call a second vote.
So far, third shift workers agreed to hold another vote -- many have changed
their minds about working on Sundays.
Last month union members refused to work mandatory Sunday shifts.
SOon after the vote, Goodyear laid off 60-people and shipped out equipment.
Local firms begged the union to return to the bargaining table.
Now, some union members are having a change of heart.

Lightning didn't cause it, but fire has struck twice in one community just
south of Richmond.
Some Chesterfield County residents watched a handful of units in their Old
Buckingham apartment go up in flames today.
More than 50 units were destroyed in the same complex in 1995.
And much like the recent fire at the Cabin Lake apartments in Danville,
residents watched their homes burn for several minutes before help arrived.

Chesterfield firefighters say their first priority was to get residents out
In Germany, two trains collided in a fiery accident during rush hour.
The crash set off a fuel explosion- injuring at least 70 people, eleven of
The accident happened outside the Northwestern city of Hanover.
The commuter train crashed head on with a freight train- three cars loaded
with diesel fuel blew-up on impact.
Firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading to 19 other cars on
the freighter train.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.

City Manager Bob Herbert says some of the candidates have withdrawn their
names from consideration, and other top prospects did not meet all of the job

Lazarus says big discount chains have made it tough for smaller stores
including his to compete.
Although he's sad to see his stores close, Lazarus says he's looking forward
to some time off.
Evangelist Billy Graham is going home after nearly a week in the hospital.
The 79 year old preacher left the Florida hospital saying he feels
Graham's been in the hospital since December 3rd.
He was vacationing in the Caribbean when he developed pneumonia-
He suffered chills, fever and dehydration.
Despite his health problems, Graham is scheduled to preach at several
evangelistic crusades next year.
