Roanoke Regional Airport.

It appears a 14 year old accused of shooting his classmates will be tried as

A man has been holding the two preschoolers hostage since yesterday-
John Armstrong is a murder suspect.
He was fleeing police when he randomly barged into a house.
He ordered the adults out and kept the children with him.

More trouble for the second in command at the Bedford County sheriff's

State police say they've launched an investigation into whether Lieutenant
John McCane mis-appropriated public money.
Botetourt County Commonwealth's attorney Joel Branscom has been appointed
special prosecutor for the case.
Branscom characterized the incident as "strange behavior" on McCane's part,
but he's not sure if any laws were broken.
Branscom adds the amount of money involved was probably less than one
McCane, the brother in-law of sheriff Mike Brown, is already on
administrative leave after being charged with stalking his estranged wife's

Goodyear union members VERBALLY agreed last night to vote again on a
mandatory Sunday shift.

The medical benefits of marijuana have been debated for some time...
now the American Medical Association is proposing that doctors be allowed to
discuss the potential pluses of marijuana with their patients.
It's the first time the influential doctor's group has taken such a stand.
Marijuana advocates say the drug can be helpful in treating illnesses like
AIDS, multiple sclerosis and spinal cord injuries.
Meantime today in Canada-- a key court victory there in the drive to
legalize medical marijuana.
An Ontario judge ruled today that an epileptic man has a constitutional
right to use marijuana for medically approved purposes.
Each year two-point six billion toys and games are sold in the United
States--two thirds of those are sold during the holiday season.
Although they're intended for fun, toys can be linked to injury and sometimes
