A Moneta man has allegedly been sending threatening letters to Chelsea
Clinton, the President's daughter.
Three times in August and again in October, according to today's grand jury
indictment, 55-year old Samuel Edmond Coffey mailed a threat to commit certain
sex acts on the Stanford freshman.
Instead of mailing them directly to the White House, Coffey is accused of
sending the letters to Virginia Beach, asking the Postmaster to mail them to
Chelsea for him from there.

Goodyear union members in Danville say they do want to vote again on the
company's request for mandatory Sunday shifts.

A special prosecutor will decide whether embezzlement charges should be
lodged against one of Bedford County's top law enforcement officers.

State police are looking into whether Lieutenant John McCane misused public
money.
Botetourt prosecutor Joel Branscom would not discuss details, but called it
"strange behavior" on McCane's part, although he's not sure whether any laws
were broken.
Branscom says the amount of money involved is less than a thousand dollars.
McCane was already on administrative leave after being charged in October
with stalking a friend of his estranged wife.
Bedford County sheriff Mike Brown, McCane's brother- in- law, could not be
reached for comment.
