A four day hostage drama in central Florida ended early this morning with gunfire.
Orlando police officers stormed the house where a suspected killer had been holding two children hostage.
The children were safely rescued-- but during a struggle with police their captor, John Armstrong, was fatally shot.
At least one officer was wounded.
Armstrong was suspected of fatally shooting a man and wounding a woman in nearby Winter Park before leading police on a chase that ended Tuesday near the children's home.
He barged inside, ordered their mothers out and took the children hostage.
