help.
The fire was brought under control in 20 minutes.

died in the fire, but no one was injured.

and died a week later.
Hubbard's home was destroyed by extensive water, smoke and fire damage.
Investigators suspect the blaze began in the kitchen but have not determined
the cause.
Hubbard will live with her sister for now. In the meantime she can cherish
her early Christmas gift, little Tyana, who was spared an untimely death.

A Salem man was shot in the chest last night and he's now in critical
condition at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Police say the victim is 44 year-old George William Wood.
Officers responded to a report of a gunshot coming from an apartment in
northwest Roanoke.
Police found Wood lying face down in the apartment when they arrived.
Authorities have no suspects in the case and are continuing their
investigation.
