It is not yet known what killed comedian Chris Farley who was found dead in a
Chicago apartment late in the afternoon.
But Farley's fans know his slapstick comedy will be sorely missed.

Charna Halpern is a director at Second City in Chicago.. where Farley got his

LOVED HIM.
Details are few at this point.. but the Cook County Medical Examiner has
confirmed that Farley's body was found in a luxury high-rise apartment
building in downtown Chicago.
Chris Farley was one of the lucky Saturday Night live alums.. able to parlay
his physical humor into a successful movie career. After spending four season's
on Saturday Night Live. he and his popular sidekick, David Spade, went on to
star in the movie "Tommy Boy" together. Later Farley starred in
"Black Sheep", "Beverley Hills Ninja" and "Airheads."
In 1995, Farley entertained political heavyweights in Washington with his
imitation of Newt Gingrich:
The circumstances surrounding Farley's death are still a mystery. An autopsy
will be performed tomorrow.

Officials at Snowshoe Mountain ski resort say a 9-year old skier died after
hitting a tree this morning.
The victim was on vacation from Jacksonville Florida- but his name is being
withheld until relatives are notified.
The boy was skiing with his father and sister but was not in their sight
when the accident happened.
The death is the first at Snowshoe this year and the fourth in
the resort's 24 years of operation.

Yesterday the Marlins traded relief pitcher Dennis cook to the New York Mets
for a pair of Minor league players.
Cook is the sixth key player the Marlins have traded since the team won the
World Series.
Cook was 1 and 2 in the regular season however, in the post season he was 2
and 0 in nine shutout innings with 10 strikeouts.

In a couple of Months the Winston Cup drivers will make their way to Daytona
to open the NASCAR season.
Darrell Waltrip will make the trip without his crew chief Jeff Hammond.
Hammond was released today after spending the year as Waltrips crew chief.
Hammond has been Waltrips crew chief off and on since 1982. They combined
to win 43 Cup races and two points titles.
