The company that supplies electricity to most of Southwest Virginia is merging with a Texas utility.

It supplies power to nine states.
After the merger with Central and South West, a company based in Dallas, A-E-P will pick up four more states.
The combined company plans to cut 13-hundred jobs.
But A-E-P says those cuts will come at the corporate level.
And it says electricity rates in Southwest Virginia will stay among the country's lowest.

The jury found that the producers of the television show, Melrose Place unjustly fired Tylo when they learned that the actress was pregnant.

Aaron Spelling Entertainment argued that a pregnant Tylo could not convincingly play a sexy seductress on the programand that her contract gave them the right to tear up her deal.
The jury awarded Tylo four million dollars for emotional distress twice what her lawyers were asking for.
She was also awarded close to 900-thousand dollars for economic loss.

The drug (Pro-PEE-sha) has proven to grow hair on bald men and stop receding hairlines.
The tablet is taken once a day.
It'll be available by prescription next month and costs about 45 dollars for a months supply.
The drug does not mean a full head of hair- but it can shrink bald spots.
Like most drugs, there are possible side effects.
A small fraction of those tested, experienced decreased sex drive and impotence.
