This weekend, Bedford County authorities started cracking down on persons
who sell drugs over the Internet.

It certainly was too late for 52- year- old Kirby Lee Adams late Saturday
Several weeks ago, a Bedford County deputy posing as a woman met Adams in an
America Online chatroom, and after exchanging e-mail, reportedly arranged to
buy some marijuana from him.
In this message, the deputy told Adams she and her friend "Dawn" wanted to
buy some pot to -quote- "carry home with us.. I have not gotten really wasted
in a long time".
The deputy went on to write: ".. don't smoke it all before we get there..
we'll be there around midnight, ready to party".
But instead of a party, it was a police SWAT team that burst in on Adams

Police seized marijuana, scales and the so- called "date rape" drug
amitripraline from Adams' home.
Robey calls Adams a small- time dealer who was mostly on- line to meet

The holidays may be upon us, but workers at Pulaski's Hoover Color are still
walking the picket line.
Nearly 30-hourly workers at the Pulaski County plant are on strike.
They're NOT satisfied with the company's latest contract offer.
Union members say it doesn't include a retirement plan and would increase
their insurance costs.
They're also at odds over Hoover Color's proposed absentee policy.

The jury in the Terry Nichols trial is deliberating the fate of the second
man charged in the Oklahoma bombing.
Deliberations are now in the sixth day, as the jury tries to decide whether
Nichols helped Timothy Mcveigh carry out the bombing.
Some family members of the victims are standing by waiting for the verdict.
Nichols could receive the death penalty if the jury convicts him of the
April 19-95, bombing of the federal building.
Pregnancy is not a handicap.
That's the message actress Hunter Tylo is trying to send.

Allen says the number one response his staff got when asking why a

Virginia Beach televangelist Pat Robertson may have been a bigger
