Traveling in treacherous this hour throughout Southwest and Central Virginia as the region deals with its first major snowstorm of the season.
Anywhere from four to 11 inches of snow have fallen making vehicular travel dangerous.
V-DOT says Interstate 81 near Roanoke is hazardous.
Things are even worse on Route 220- south of Roanoke near the Franklin-Roanoke County lines.
Motorists heading that way should expect a three- hour delay because of accidents.

South Boston police say a man charged with carrying a concealed weapon during an early morning traffic stop, went home and started shooting.

Chief Jim Hall says Young told officials over the phone he would shoot any officer that came near him.
