The medical examiner says comedian Chris Farley died of an accidental overdose of cocaine and morphine.
It's similar to the drug combination of cocaine and heroin that killed Farley's idol, fellow comedian John Belushi, in 1982.

The medical examiner also says Farley's liver showed signs of excessive drinking and there was a narrowing of the arteries supplying the heart muscle... a contributing factor in the death of the former Saturday Night Live star.
His body was found on the floor of his Chicago apartment two weeks ago.

The defense began putting on evidence today designed to convince a federal jury to spare Terry Nichols' life.
Nichols was convicted last week of IN-voluntary manslaughter as a co-conspirator in the Oklahoma City bombing.

Marife Nichols described greeting cards Nichols has made for family members out of file folders and toothpaste in prison.

The company says it's not unusual.
Once a year it closes shop for a couple of weeks and re-evaluates its work force.
This year the shutdown is earlier because of weak earnings.

But the president of the workers' union said he has NOT heard anything from the company indicating people are about to lose their jobs.

Steve Fossett has been in the air two days, and he is already half way across the Atlantic on his balloon, "Solo Spirit."

He lifted off New Year's Eve in St. Louis.
Now Fossett and his balloon are riding the jet stream to Europe.
So far the global wind currents are co-operating, and there are no storms on the horizon.
His engineers at mission control say if something's going to go wrong, this is the point in the trip for it to happen.
But if Fossett keeps up this pace he'll circle the globe in a record- breaking 15 days. (----------------)
