Authorities in Danville arrested another suspect in the murder of Teresa
Anderson Hayes.
Police allege 24-year old Joe Adrian Leftwich of Danville robbed Hayes of
her jewelry then shot her several times in the head on December 20th.
Charges against Leftwich include one count of capital murder and one count of
robbery.
This is the second arrest in the case--the first suspect was released after
an eyewitness misidentified him.

Two Washington, D.C. residents face felony drug charges following a routine
traffic stop in Rockbridge County.
Police pulled over Basil Anthony Hermitt and Cynthia Denise Barnett for
speeding early this morning and found 12-pounds of marijuana.
The drugs were disguised as a Christmas gift.
Police said the marijuana had a street value of about 25-thousand dollars.
Both are charged with intent to distribute marijuana, and bringing drugs
into Commonwealth.
