The body of 40-year-old Joel Elkins of Liberty Road in Roanoke was found late yesterday afternoon, at the Professional Arts Building.
Elkins was 30 feet below the parking lot, in a concrete pit sometimes used to store a ladder.
Firefighters got his body out using a ladder truck.
The medical examiner believes Elkins fell to his death.
He was reported missing last Friday, just drove away from his home.
His car was towed away from the parking lot just a few hours before his body turned up.

Inmates at the City jail have come up with an ingenious system to communicate with each other.
An inmate simply mails a letter withOUT putting a stamp on it. Instead of his own return address, he writes the name of the inmate he wants to GET the letter in the upper left corner.
