In his opening statement, the government prosecutor says these are not sophisticated white collar crimes, but "garden variety arsons" that eventually gave rise to increasingly more violent crimes... including robbery and murder.

"This was NOT an organized crime family," said one defense attorney today.
"It's a very DISorganized family.

Researchers measured the walls of the carotid artery of 11-thousand people.
