Tultex won't say how many of its 25-hundred employees are out of a job.
Only that the number is "not significant."

Though he's not allowed to tell US, Prosecutor Tom Bondurant told the jury that Joe Abbott and his brother controlled 27 restaurants, bars and convenience stores in the Roanoke Valley.
When things didn't go their way, Bondurant says the Abeds would say: "I'm going to have my boys take care of you."
"Out- and- out fantasy," says the defense.
"This was not an organized crime family," inisists one defense attorney. It's a "very DIS-organized family," he says, though some members have committed crimes.

A Roanoke teenager has been cleared of a charge of killing her father.
A judge today dismissed a manslaughter charge against 17-year-old Shannon Doss.
She'd been accused of stabbing her father to death in November, after he beat her mother.
Juvenile court judge Joe Clarke dropped the charge today, having heard evidence yesterday.
Defense lawyers had argued that the girl stabbed 38-year-old David Doss out of frustration over the abuse of her mother, and concern for her mother's safety.

Lawyers for Paula Jones are claiming a small victory after President Clinton's attorneys failed to appear for a court hearing today in Charlottesville.
