A Roanoke teenager will not stand trial for manslaughter in connection with
the death of her father.
Yesterday a judge dismissed charges against 17- year- old Shannon Doss.
She'd been accused of stabbing her father to death in November, after he
beat her mother.
Defense lawyers had argued that the girl stabbed 38- year- old David Doss
out of frustration over the abuse of her mother, and concern for her mother's
safety.
