About 15 Klan members chanted "white power" on the way to the courthouse --

The Sheriff says the Ku Klux Klan had permission to restrict traffic on Main
Street for their march.

((A bus carrying the Americans was ambushed in broad daylight Friday on a major
highway south of Guatemala City. The gunmen, marched the Americans at
gunpoint into a nearby sugar cane field where all were robbed and five were
raped.

Family members say Carl Perkins died this morning from complications related
to strokes.
In 1956, Perkins' song "Blue Suede Shoes" went to number one on the country
chart and number two on the pop and R-and-B lists.
Along with Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Johnny Cash, Perkins was part
of the legendary Sun label.
Perkins' career spanned five decades. He wrote hits for the Beatles and
Johnny Cash.
He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
Carl Perkins was 65.

The Fords were back in Daytona yesterday trying to get up to speed, and they
certainly accomplished their goal.
Greg Sacks in a Thunderbird went out late in testing and turned the fastest
lap of the preseason at 190 point 154 miles an hour.
Rusty Wallace and rookie Kenny Irwin had the quickest Tauruses.
Both of them topped the fastest GM time that was set last week by Jeff
Gordon.
Irwin, the new driver of the Havoline Ford says he plans to be tough from the
start this season.

Jeff Burton got a big career boost yesterday as he was named to drive in the
prestigious IROC series.
Jeff also has a brand new paint scheme on his Ford Taurus for races on the
regular Winston Cup series.
Mark Martin, Dale Jarrett and Jeff Gordon will also represent Winston Cup in
the four race event.
