A few years ago, they filmed the movie "What About Bob?" in Bedford County,
mostly in the Smith Mountain Lake and Moneta area.
Now residents say if a filmmaker ever returned, the title of their next
movie should be "Ghost Town".
That's what they're afraid will happen if Moneta's railroad crossing is

At a packed town meeting, residents asked VDOT and the commonwealth
transportation board to reconsider.
Closing the crossing, they say, would kill their little town.
