cbs news has learned that the fbi set up surveillance of lewinsky at a washington area hotel last week. her former colleague and friend linda tripp was wearing a wire. lewinsky is often heard in tears pleading with tripp to help her cover up the alleged affair, and allegedly saying the president wants her to deny any relationship.
independent counsel kenneth starr will be investigating allegations of perjury, false statements and obstruction of justice involving the president.

The Virginia Department of Education gave Franklin County a perfect score for its technology program, which includes child-friendly laptops for elementary school students.
Eighth graders spend a semester at a special school for technology -- where they can see and speak with students across the world using a computer.
This school does not even have a library-- all resources are found online.
