Workers told News-7 a lot of work has been outsourced to other countries.
G-E said most of the employeess laid off today should be re-hired by this
summer...assuming production picks up again.
A majority of union members at the Danville Goodyear plant say they are in
favor of a 12-hour work shift.
Over 900-members of Local 8-31 cast their votes tonight. More than
three-fourths of the workers voted for the longer shifts, which would give them
two Sundays off a month.
Earlier today, they decided to narrow three proposals down to two.
They'll vote again Wednesday to make their final decision.
Goodyear has not decided when it will move to the new 7-day work schedule.
A secret service agent is now reportedly ready to testify that he saw the
President in a compromising situation with Monica Lewinsky.
That's according to the Dallas Morning News- Although senior officails with
the secret service agency officials say they have doubts about the report.
As Drew Levinson reports, this comes just as Lewinsky's attorney askes the
special prosecutor to give his client immunity.

Another regional disappointment: the House Appropriations Committee found

million more dollars in cuts to Southwest and Southside Virginia museums and
