It could be tomorrow or Friday before power is restored.
Meanwhile in Roanoke, steady rainfall means possible flooding.

Doctor says the mother of the baby with the high pitched cry drank alcohol while pregnant.
Researchers also say babies need stimulation when they are upset.
If a parent ignores a crying baby, the experts say that may indicate a future potential for abuse. The theory is that if parents are irritated by the crying they may not be able to contain their anger as the child grows older.

A study in the Journal of the American Medical Association finds a gene mutation that slows the progression of AIDS in adults also helps newborns.
The mutation is believed to be absent in African-Americans and Asians but present in 10 percent to 15 percent of whites. DISSOLVE TO PINNACLE FULLSCREEN/HIV STUDY
By age 8, only 11 percent of HIV-infected babies with the gene mutation had suffered serious AIDS-related illness, compared with 49 percent of babies who lacked the mutation.
Researchers say the finding could someday help scientists develop new drugs to prevent or kill HIV infection in newborns.
