at his home.

A veteran Lynchburg pilot is in serious but stable condition after being struck by an airplane propeller.
74- year- old Rucker Tibbs was taken to the University of Virginia trauma center after the accident Tuesday night.
There, doctors had to amputate part of his arm.
The accident occurred while Tibbs was working on a small plane whose engine was running, and he got too close to the propeller.
Tibbs is a member of the Virginia Aviation Hall of Fame.
He got his pilot's license in 19-56.

The long debate over 12- hour- work schedules is now over at the Goodyear plant in Danville.

Workers say the 12 hour shifts would give them two weekends off every month.
Last month workers reluctantly agreed to keep the plant operating seven days a week.
