Police say John Glen Jones died during an altercation with another man.
It happened in this house on Fifth Street.
Two men and two women were drinking when Jones allegedly pulled a knife on the second man, and then hit him in the face.
The man wrestled Jones to the floor, and held him around the neck
Jones then stopped breathing.

The Lynchburg pediatrician charged with possession of child pornography has resigned.
A nurse at "F-Read Hopkins Pediatrics" says 58 year old Doctor John G-Powell has left his job. Powell was arrested at his office yesterday.
Police are not releasing any details of the case--the misdemeanor charge lodged against Powell carries a maximum penalty of a 500 dollar fine.
Powell has worked in the Lynchburg community for more than 20 years. In 19-84 he received a "Physician of the Year" state award for his work with disabled people.

The men, who were armed with guns, stole drugs from the store's pharmacy.
