The U-S District Judge in the Paula Jones harassment case announced all
evidence collection pertaining to Monica Lewinsky will be stopped.
Whitewater Prosecutor Kenneth Starr says it's necessary to put the evidence
gathering on hold in the Jones case because lawyers in that case were
interfering in the criminal investigation.
Lewinsky's lawyer, William Ginsburg met with Starr on Thursday to negotiate
an immunity deal.
Those talks apparently failed.
Shortly after the talks Lewinsky and Ginsburg were seen leaving the
A single car accident in Campbell County killed one person yesterday
afternoon and seriously injured a second.
The car was heading north on Route 501 between Brookneal and Gladys.
Witnesses estimate the car was travelling about 100 miles an hour when it
crashed into a tree.

The driver died at the scene. State Police identify him as 19-year old
Jamie Lee Pillow, of Brookneal.
A woman who was riding in the car was taken to the hospital with serious
injuries, but there's no word tonight on her condition.
A three car accident in Christiansburg left one woman dead.
It happened around six yesterday evening on Roanoke Street.
Rescue workers took 66 year old Lila B. Lester to Montgomery Regional
Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver, Cletus Lester Junior is
in stable condition.
There's no word on other injuries and police are still investigating.
