Medicaid and medicare coverage may be terminated at one Montgomery County nursing home by the end of the week.

Federal officials say deficiencies at Meadowbrook Nursing home in Shawsville led to the decision.
They were concerned about the quality of care residents were receiving.
The nursing home has about 93 patients in its care-- 70 rely on medicaid or medicare.
Government workers were at the nursing home last week.
They say the facility's eligibility could be saved if the latest survey results turn out favorably.

Residents have also been trying to get the Railroad to clean out blocked drainage culverts for two years... They're afraid the stormwater backup will weaken the track bed, endangering their homes.

Town officials have also been negotiating with Norfolk Southern to improve drainage along the rail line.

ABC agents are tracking down a Franklin County landowner to find out who was making moonshine on his property.

Agents in camouflage raided this underground moonshine still last night -- and discovered a high-tech whiskey factory hidden in a homemade cellar.
They say twelve stills cooked up about 20-thousand-dollars worth of whiskey a week.
Authorities think the bootleggers fled minutes before the bust, and since the property is rented, it's hard to track them down.
In fact, neighbors say the man who rented this garage recently died -- a story agents say they hear often.
