Medicaid and medicare coverage may be terminated at one Montgomery County nursing home by the end of the week.

Federal officials say deficiencies at Meadowbrook Nursing home in Shawsville led to the decision.
They were concerned about the quality of care residents were receiving.
The nursing home has about 93 patients in its care-- 70 rely on medicaid or medicare.
Government workers were at the nursing home last week.
They say the facility's eligibility could be saved if the latest survey results turn out favorably.

Residents have also been trying to get the Railroad to clean out blocked drainage culverts for two years... They're afraid the stormwater backup will weaken the track bed, endangering their homes.
