The trial of one of the men charged with burning and beheading another man in Grayson County was postponed last week and now there's a request to delay the second suspect's trial.
Louis Ceparano's attorney asked to postpone Ceparano's capital murder trial, now scheduled for April first.
The issue is whether Ceparano was too drunk to have intended to kill Garnett Johnson last summer, so his lawyer wants a toxicologist to evaluate alcohol's effect on his client.

Michelle Kwan brought grace and technical perfection to the ice for the women's short program. When the night was over, she emerged as the leader.

Tara Lipinski had no complaints, either. The look on her face as she skated gave away her emotions.

But for Nicole Bobek, there will be no medal at these games. She fell on her first jump and made other mistakes that cost her dearly. She ended the night in 17th place, leaving the ice in tears. So, going into Friday's freeskate, Kwan and Lipinski are poised for gold and silver if they skate as well as they did in the short program.

(40KM CROSS COUNTRY RELAY)

One of the closest finishes in Olympic history happened in the men's 40-kilometer cross country relay. Thomas Alsgaard of Norway got his right ski across the finish line 2-tenths of a second ahead of Italy's Silvio Fauner, to give the Norwegian team the gold. The team victory gave Norway's Bjorn Dahlie 7 career Olympic gold medals, more than any other winter Olympian in history.

It was night one in jail for one of the nation's leading anti-abortion activists as he began his six-month sentence for trespassing in Lynchburg.

Reverend Flip Benham surrendered to jail authorities yesterday morning, following his conviction Tuesday in Lynchburg circuit court.
Benham and two Liberty University students were found guilty of trespassing on the grounds of E-C Glass High School last November.
All three are appealing the verdict, but Benham's bond would not allow him to return home to Texas while his appeal is heard.
So the Operation Rescue director decided to get his jail time over with.
