confirmed that F-B-I agents have inspected the premises.
The New York Times reports that the metal plates had been cut at a plant in

If hundreds of anti-abortion protesters are going to rally in Lynchburg next
month, they plan on doing it without the proper permits.
Life Coalition International filed suit in federal court today, asking that
Lynchburg's public protest ordinance be suspended until a judge can rule
whether it's legal.
National anti-abortion groups plan a March 13th rally in support of
Operation Rescue director Flip Benham.
Benham is serving a six-month jail term for trespassing during a rally at
E-C Glass High School last fall.
Co-defendant John Reyes (RAY-iss) says outside support is helping to keep
Benham's spirits up.

Lynchburg police would not say how they plan to handle next month's event.
City ordinance requires any group of two or more people to get written
permission before holding a protest.
Police say a Roanoke beauty supply shop manager illegally videotaped women
using the store's restroom.
34-year-old Paul Aronson runs B&H Supply -- where his employee, Melanie
Melton, found a videocamera hidden in the restroom's ceiling.
Police say the tape inside shows Aronson pointing the camera toward the
toilet-- and a female customer using the bathroom.
Aronson says B&H Supply supervisors will not let him comment.

Police say Aronson calls himself a video enthusiast -- editing and
producing his own tapes.
They seized several videotapes from Aronson's home in Roanoke.
He is scheduled to appear in court next month -- in the meantime the store
is closed, and Melanie Melton's mother does not want her to comment until she
speaks to an attorney.
Roanoke Police are asking for help tonight.
They're trying to find the man who raped an 80-year-old woman after breaking
into her house earlier this week.
The man allegedly left a baseball hat at the crime scene.
It's a dark hat, splattered with white paint, and embroidered with the
phrase, "Been there, done that."
The hat has been turned over to the state crime lab.

Police are urging anyone who recognizes the hat to call the Roanoke city
criminal investigation unit.
Double murder charges against a Bedford man have been sent on to the grand
23-year old Andre Eugene Evans is accused of gunning down two men during a
street fight in the city of Bedford last October.
Timothy Ray Robinson and Lorin Tyler Murphy were killed near the
intersection of South and Franklin Streets.
During a preliminary hearing today, several witnesses identified Evans as
Prosecutor Randy Krantz says he has "not" decided whether to seek the death
penalty for the two killings.

A Virginia Tech administrator who sued the campus newspaper has lost her
appeal to the state Supreme Court.
Sharon Yeagle filed suit after she was identified in the Collegiate Times
as "Director of Butt-Licking." Newspaper Staffers said it was a mistake, never
meant for publication.
A Montgomery County judge ruled the title was too absurd to be taken
seriously, and the Supreme Court justices apparently agreed.

revamp the rules of the nation's transplant program.
From now on-- donated organs must be offered to the sickest patients first...
instead of the patients who live closest to the donor location.
The waiting time for a liver for example-- is 5-times longer in some parts of
the U-S than others.
Vice President Al Gore is urging Americans to "give the gift of life" as part
of another new initiative aimed at encouraging people to agree to
organ donations and then tell their families.
Officials are hoping the changes will increase organ donations by 20 percent
in two years.

Yesterday we reported a new method of vaccinating people using skin
patches-- today California researchers are developing another new way to give
children a vaccine: in food.
Scientists say they genetically-engineered potatoes to carry the cholera
Then-- they cooked them-- and found that 50-percent of the vaccine was
left...leading them to believe that if they were eaten-- there would be some
protection... even if the potatoes were french-fried.
