State legislators have put the brakes on a compromise bill for a car tax cut.
The plan gained steam earlier this week when the House of Delegates unanimously passed it... but yesterday the Senate nixed the deal.
Senate Republicans killed the plan, saying that tax relief and borrowing don't mix.
In retaliation, the House then defeated the Senate's car tax cut.
