Street was skiing in the World cup Downhill in Montana Switzerland when she lost her balance, leaned too far back- and skidded down the hill.
Doctors say she fractured her left femur- and it may be months before she skis again.
The Olympic Super G champion was air lifted from the course by helicopter.
Street won gold for America just last month in Nagano.

People travel across the globe to set their sights on one of the seven natural wonders of the world.
[ANCHOR=Andrew 2-shot]

But Southwest Virginia residents have one located just off Interstate 81.

In this week's segment of "Time Off," Kimberly McBroom shows us the wonders of Natural Bridge.

(( Natural Bridge was first discovered by Monacan Indians--
George Washington surveyed the area, and carved his initials.
In the 1700's Thomas Jefferson bought the bridge, to make sure the public would be able to enjoy it.
NOW the truly "natural beauty" is a major tourist attraction.
Abby Heilman and Sheree Rhoads stopped off to see the wonder during their Spring Break road trip.
(/////SOT/////)

((SHEREE RHOADS/TOURIST: IT'S GREAT. IT'S NEAT. DIFFERENT. YOU WON'T GET ANYTHING LIKE THAT WHERE WE'RE FROM. IT'S PRETTY NICE. IT'S NICE TO SEE.)) [RUNS:07]
The Natural Bridge Inn and Conference Center has 180 guest rooms and hillside cottages to accomodate visitors.
This is one of the third floor "King" rooms, which runs about 59 dollars a night during the off season.
In season rates start at 89- dollars a night.

((DAVE PARKER/NATURAL BRIDGE MARKETING DIR.: BECAUSE THIS IS THE DOWN TIME OF THE SEASON WE'RE IN THE MIDST OF RENOVATIONS WITH THE PUBLIC AREAS, THE HALLWAYS, THE CORRIDORS, SOME OF THE SOFT RENOVATIONS GOING ON ARE REPLACEMENTS OF BED SPREADS AND THAT KIND OF THING, DRAPERIES, AND SHEARS ON THE WINDOWS. BUT WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO A BUSY SEASON.)) [RUNS:17]
The entire second floor is getting a major facelift right now.
All renovations should be finished by April first, so the hotel can be ready for the onslaught of spring tourists.

(/////SOT/////)
[SOT 10:44:30]

((DAVE PARKER/NATURAL BRIDGE MARKETING DIR.: IT'S A BROAD SPECTRUM. AND I WOULD SAY, IT'S MOSTLY VACATIONERS, ESPECIALLY IN THE HEART OF THE SEASON. BUT ALSO, A LOT OF CHURCH GROUPS AND A LOT OF SCHOOL GROUPS THAT'LL COME IN JUST FOR DAY TRIPS.)) [RUNS:10]
And while visitors are here-- many find their way to Natural Bridge's gift shop.
Remodeled last year, the shop offers everything from the typical tourist sweatshirts to pottery and water gardens.

There's even a full service deli.
And more items are expected in the future.
(/////SOT/////)
[SOT 11:07:31]

((DAVE PARKER/NATURAL BRIDGE MARKETING DIR.: IT'S GOING TO BE NICE, BECAUSE THERE'S GOING TO BE DIFFERENT FEATURES OF THE GIFT SHOP THAT ARE GOING TO KEEP EVOLVING AND KEEP GETTING BETTER. SO, IT'S GOING TO BE A PLACE THAT PEOPLE ARE GOING TO BE WANTING TO SEE, ALONG WITH THE OTHER ATTRACTIONS. BUT THEY'RE GOING TO FOCUS ON THIS BY ITSELF, TOO.)) [RUNS:12]
And when you've grown tired of shopping-- you can drop in on some famous friends.
Wax figures aren't just on display here, this is also where they're MADE.

((Kimberly McBroom/News 7: Does it ever get kind of creepy in here, with all these faces staring at you? MARGIE CHITTUM/WAX FIGURES CREATOR: NO, YOU GET KIND OF USED TO THEM, UNLESS SOMEONE MOVES ONE YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT, THAT'LL SHOCK YOU. laughter. )) [RUNS:09]
More life-like scenes from history will be played out this spring during the Civil War encampment at Natural Bridge.
And just around the corner, the annual Easter Sunrise Service coming up April 12th.
