Franklin County authorities say a man who allegedly made a sexual advance to a woman during a weekend party was fatally stabbed by the woman's boyfriend.
Police said 46-year-old Thomas Darnell Palmer was stabbed in the chest with a kitchen knife.
Arrested was 40-year-old John Amos Nolen of Penhook -- along with his girlfriend, 27-year-old Sharon Austin of Rocky Mount.

An angry boyfriend is the prime suspect in the weekend stabbing death of a man.

Judy Buenoano (BWAY'-noh-on-yoh) is being put to death for the poisoning death of her husband in 1971 for insurance money.
The former nail salon owner also drowned her paralyzed son and tried to kill her fiance with a car bomb.
She will be the first woman executed in Florida since 1848.

Mourners turned out by the hundreds to say goodbye to victims of last Sunday's cabin fire in Pennsylvania.

11 people in their teens or early 20's died from smoke inhalation when their mountain cabin caught fire near Herndon.
Yesterday's ceremony was held at the high school that several victims attended.
The victims names were read while a bell tolled, and well wishers laid flowers on a memorial.

A 19-year-old woman charged in the murder of Stacey Hanna was found guilty of first degree murder this weekend.
Stephanie Cull was sentenced to 20 years in prison for beating and stabbing 18 year old Lynchburg resident Stacey Hanna, and leaving her for dead.
The killing took place in Chesterfield County and is believed to be part of a lover's quarrel involving two lesbians.
Two women have already been convicted of capital murder -- and a fourth will go on trial for the same charge.

Apparently the judges did too. Sampson won 50-thousand dollars in cash and prizes and was one of Arnold Schwarzenegger's special guest two weeks ago at the "Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic"--one of the most prestigious bodybuilding competitions in the world. The 33-year old Southside resident downplays his accomplishments, saying he just wants to be good role model for others to follow.

Authorities say 46-year-old Thomas Darnell Palmer was stabbed in the chest with a kitchen knife. John Amos Nolen of Penhook has been arrested.
