Three freshman at V-M-I are hoping a last minute lawsuit will prevent the school's Honor Court from prosecuting them.
The freshmen are being accused of lying to student investigators about an alleged beating at the school.
The cadets say they were struck with a belt by three senior cadets--but say they initially denied the incident to protect upperclassmen.
The freshmen could be expelled if found guilty of lying.
A hearing on the cadets' request for a restraining order is set for Monday in U-S District Court in Roanoke.[Spencer
