A tractor-trailer ripped through a schoolbus in Texas this afternoon, injuring at least a dozen children- one critically.

Officials say children were getting off of the bus when it was rear-ended by the 18-wheeler.
It happened about 60 miles northwest of Houston.
The force of the crash tore away the roof and the back of the bus.
A 15- year- old girl was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Houston. Officials say she is in critical condition. Another girl was also seriously hurt.
Officials say injuries to the other 23 children on board and the bus driver appear to be minor.

A sports radio talk show on WNOX in Knoxville said yesterday that Grindstaff made his tranfer to UT offical yesterday. He will sit out next season and tehn have three years of elegibility remaining. He visited the tennessee campus over the weekend. He averaged 10.5 pts a game for tech this past season as a freshman.

This young deer had fallen into a drainage ditch and animal control officers had to use a combination of two lassos to lift the fawn to safety.
The deer is now resting comfortably at a wildlife center in Northern California.
