The storms that ravaged Alabama Wednesday night have brought their fury to the Mid-Atlantic coast.
In Virginia Beach yesterday, the storm system produced several funnel Cloud sightings.
There were no serious injuries but the storm collapsed part of building and dumped egg-sized hail in some areas.
Meantime, high winds in North Carolina lead to the death of a Virginia man.
Police say the man died when a tree limb fell on top of his car as he drove along Highway 33.

The opening scenes are very violent as Bruce Willis, an FBI undercover agent, is involved to his dismay and sorrow in the death of 2 young boys. This sets him up both as a paranoid threat to his superiors and to be a hero to young Simon, an autistic savant who has cracked a super secret code and needs to be saved from the bad guys.
"Mercury Rising" gets a C+, the unusual relationship between Willis' character and the child adds some interest; but there is of course no verbal communication between them. The final scenes are strictly Hollywood; the conclusion is never in doubt; and they break more glass windows than both the diehard movies combined.))
