Gunfire erupted at the Statford park Apartments on Brandon Avenue.

Residents say a woman in her 20's was arguing with her boyfriend-
The woman was shot in the head in apartment 37-34. That is a top floor unit.
People living in the apartments say the woman's boyfriend was taken away by police.
The names of those involved are not yet known at this point. The woman's condition has also not been released.

Yankee Stadium was busy today; not with baseball but with a Bob Villa like project after a 500 pound steel joint fell into the stands yesterday postponing several games.

The joint fell down the third baseline and today 300 workers from eight New York City agencies checked the stadium for structural defects. They also worked to repair the damage.
Games were postponed last night and tonight. Tomorrow's game between the Yankees and the Anaheim Angles has been rescheduled for the afternoon at She Stadium where the Mets play. If the stadium repairs are not finished by the coming weekend; the Yanks series with the Tigers will be moved to either Shea or to Detroit. Eliminating the danger is the key.

Mill Mountain Theater is preparing to take on the "Beast on the Moon."
The award winning play is the theater's latest production.

Local drama critics named it the best production of the year in Philadelphia, Louisville, Sacramento, and Portland.


Beast on the Moon is set in Milwaukee in 1921.
It deals with two Armenian emigrants as they struggle with their brutal past as they build a life in America.
