But no one could save four-month old Kristen and four-YEAR old Jacob.
Henry County's fire marshal says the blaze started in the kitchen where two stove burners were left on.
The Bowmans' were able to salvage a few pictures of their children but not much else.

When a friend lit a cigarette nearby the shirt caught fire.
The boy ran across the street to Jackson River Middle School for medical attention.

Two Botetourt County sheriff's deputies have been cleared of any wrongdoing in a shootout with a drunk driver.

Deputy Jay Spiva was about to administer a breathalyzer test when Jenkins shot the officer twice in the chest, then killed himself.
Seconds later, backup Deputy Greg Hepler shot Jenkins from behind the truck.
The commonwealth's attorney says he was right to shoot.

The late Davey Allison entered the hall posthumously along with Al Unser Senior and Roger Penske.

Take a look at crowd favorite Fuzzy Zoeller a winner of the event back when it was the GGO drain the putt from off the edge of the green. He's at 5 under.
Masters' champ Mark O'Meara wasn't so lucky out of the trap he flies the ball over the green and right at the VIP tent on the par three 17th. It bounces off the front of it and comes to rest on the fringe. He's at even.
But that shot was a keeper compared to this gem.
Ted Tryba out of the trap on the 14th hole catches the ball on the lip of the bunker.
He also catches his club on the lip and breaks the head right off of it.
