Meat packing company, I.B.P. Incorporated, is recalling more than 280 thousand pounds of beef.
The beef originated at a plant in Joslin, Illinois- and it's already been shipped to stores in numerous states.
The Agriculture department says since the beef was fresh much of it has already been consumed.
IBP say it hasn't heard of anyone getting ill from the beef.
Health departments in all 50 states are on alert for cases of E-coli.
Symptoms include cramps, diarrhea and fever.

Police have charged a Danville man with murder-- after an overnight shooting.
They say Laquan (LA-KWAN) Stone went to his ex-wife's home at the Town and Country Apartments around 1:30 this morning.
That's where he allegedly shot Alvin Averett, Junior in the head.
Stone is in the Danville City Jail tonight, held without bail.

Recovery teams combed the water near this low dam-- where there is a dangerous undertow.

Recovery personnel say if someone gets caught in this undertow, there's not much hope of survival.

There will be three flights a day.

Pete Harnisch got a shutout yesterday for the Reds as they beat the Phils 1-to-nothing.
The former Oriole struck out 8, and got a some nice defensive support from his teammates, who were falling out of their seats to lend a helping hand.

The Salem Avalanche got its second win its third win in the last four days last night as the team shutout the Danville 97's 2-to-nothing.

And the masked man would see Salem get on the board in the bottom of the 5th as Blake Barthol smacks one to left field. His shot would drive in two runs and turn out to be the game winner.

Salem had a chance to get some insurance in the 7th, but Doug Livingston got caught in a rundown between third & home.

Earlier this week the University of North Carolina lost Antawn Jamison to the NBA and now it looks like Vince Carter will follow his lead and give up his final year of eligibility.

Last night we told you that Franklin County high school had suspended 10 of its varsity soccer players for the rest of the season.
Today the school's athletic director, Jerry Little, confirmed that administrators are also investigating the possibility that athletes from other sports may have also broken rules
