Henry County social service workers say they are shocked by the news that a baby was allegedly murdered by her mother over the weekend.
That's because Sharon Alley was one of their clients.
In fact, she had been charged with abusing her 8-month-old daughter before.
Christy Hubley reports.

[7Movie-Review] 5/15 "Black Dog" Universal
The title of this movie should be "Big Truck" because it is the 18 wheelers that are really the stars of the film. They race, they crash, they explode. The camera loves them. They get more close ups then the human actors, Patrick Swayze, Randy Travis or Meat Loaf. Swayze is Jack. An earnest fellow who has had some bad luck and spent two years in prison. To save his home, he takes on a long haul from Atlanta to New Jersey even though he knows it could mean trouble. It does. The load is illegal guns and a bad guy, Red (Meat Loaf) hires some low lifes to try and get it away from Jack with predictable results. "Black Dog" gets a D, the movie defies logic, has terrible dialogue, a formulaic story line and paper thin characters who haven't got much to do but drive and die. But the camera work is fantastic, so if you must see this movie, see it on a big screen.
