A game turned deadly in Amherst County Saturday night when a man shot and killed another man and wounded two others.

Police say 29-year old Kenneth Branham killed 43-year old Richard Eubank, then wounded Bobby Beverly and Ricky McDaniel after a game of horseshoes Saturday night.
Witnesses say the three men were arguing when Branham pulled a 12-gauge shotgun from his car and started shooting.
Beverly is in critical condition at Lynchburg General Hospital and McDaniel was released.
Branham is charged with murder and two counts of malicious wounding.

A 5-year-old boy is in good condition after a drunk driver ran over him in Danville Saturday night.
Jerrick Blackstock was riding in the back of a pickup truck.
Police say the driver, Larnell Hampton, started backing the truck out of a driveway.
The child slipped off but Hampton continued in reverse and hit the child.
Hampton is charged with driving under the influence.
