It's judgement day for a key witness in the Oklahoma City bombing.

Michael Fortier (FOR'-tee-ur) will be sentenced today for failing to warn anyone about the bombing and then lying to the F-B-I.
His lawyers have asked the judge to keep his prison term under four years because Fortier cooperated with prosecutors.
But Fortier could get up to 17 and a half years.

So far, Police have not confirmed a link between the Gilmer Avenue shooting and the Church Avenue fire.
And the Fire Department is still investigating the cause of the blaze.
Last night the city released the name of the last of the five fire victims.
Walter Bernard Green was identified from fingerprints.

A shooting in Lynchburg has left one man in critical condition at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
41-year old David Robertson was in a car near a convenience store yesterday in the 36-hundred block of Montridge Place when he and a friend were confronted by four other men.
One of them pulled out a gun and fired into the car.
Robertson was shot in the side of the head.
Police have not made any arrests.

A suspect was arraigned in court yesterday in connection with a weekend shooting in Amherst County.

29-year old Kenneth Branham was arraigned on a murder charge.
He's also charged with two counts of malicious wounding.
Branham and three other men allegedly got into an argument after a game of horeshoes.
Police say he pulled a shotgun from his car and opened fire, killing 43-year old Richard Eubank.
Bobby Beverly is in critical condition at Lynchburg Memorial Hospital.

Several reports say the samples will be taken at the federal courthouse in Los Angeles.
Prosecutors want the samples to back up evidence they presented to a grand jury, including tapes and handwritten letters.

Davis and attorney Joseph Cammarata are asking a federal appeals court to order Jones to pay 800-thousand dollars in unpaid legal bills.
The pair represented Jones in her sexual harassment lawsuit against President Clinton, but quit when she refused to accept a 700 thousand settlement last fall.
Jones' current attorneys are asking an appeals court to re-instate the lawsuit against the President, and to rule that Davis and Cammarata are NOT entitled to the legal fees.

But that decision hasn't been made public.
The line has run into little opposition in West Virginia.
Its proposed route leaves the state quickly, and not many people live nearby.
Even if West Virginia endorses the line, Virginia still needs to issue its own ruling.
That won't happen until the end of the year, at the earliest.

A Phoenix newspaper quotes sources as saying the 89-year-old has only a day or so to a few weeks to live.
Goldwater was elected to the Senate in 19-52, then quit in '64 when he won the Republican nomination for president.
He lost to Lyndon Johnson.
He was re-elected to the Senate in '74 and retired in '86.
It was Goldwater who told then- President Nixon in 19-74 that he faced impeachment, and Nixon subsequently resigned.
