The 43-year-old is charged with burning and beheading a black man in Grayson County last July.
Yesterday prosecutors and defense attorneys were asked to pick a panel of 26 qualified jurors which would eventually be narrowed down to 12 jurors and 2 alternates.
But this morning the judge ruled to lower the panel of potential jurors to 24.
Right now, a total of 11 jurors have been approved for the panel.
Opening statements are expected to begin Monday.

Prosecutors say Breedlove would get the girls out of class and have sex with them in the teachers' lounge bathroom.


Officials say he also propositioned a fourth student.
All of the girls were 13-years of age or younger.

State police say a Ridgeway woman fell asleep at the wheel last night before she was killed in a car wreck.
According to police, 37-year-old Donna Brim drove over an embankment off of Route 58 in Patrick County before her Toyota Corolla struck 2 trees.
The accident occurred around 11:15 pm, just west of Route 697.
Police say Brim died shortly before one am at R-J Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Stuart.

Police say the man has exposed himself to women and children at least six times over the past 2 months.
Witnesses describe the man as a white male of average height who wears glasses and a hat.

Movement last night for construction plans concerning Roanoke County Schools.
The School Board approved bids for major improvements at Burlington and Clearbrook Elementary Schools, and asked the Supervisors to award the contracts.
The board authorized school superintendent Deanna Gordon to sign a purchase contract for the Woods End property. That will allow final testing of the site where the county hopes to build a new high school.
And the board also approved a two- year contract extension for the superintendent.

A juvenile court judge in the New River Valley has decided to retire.
Judge John Buck says he will leave the bench as of June first.
Buck was appointed two years ago and heard cases primarily in Bland, Pulaski and Wythe counties.
Buck turned 70 last month.
He's leaving to deal with some health problems and to do some traveling with his son.
