A man was injured tonight after slamming his car into a convenience store.

According to police, the driver of the car, James Allen Craighead of Bedford, was backing out of the parking lot at Lancet Mart along Route 24 near Chamblissburg.
Authorities say he ran into propane tanks and plowed into the store, then backed out across Route 24, hit an embankment and flipped the car.
Rescue workers took Craighead to a nearby hospital.
Charges against the driver are pending.

A three year old and four teens were injured in a multi-vehicle accident today in Roanoke County.
The accident happened at the corner of Washington Street and Spring Grove.
According to police a 17-year old driver of a Ford Bronco failed to yield to oncoming traffic.
A car, carrying a toddler, then hit the truck causing it to flip.
A second truck then slammed into the Bronco.
The youngters were all treated for minor injuries and released from Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
The teen driver of the Bronco was charged with wreckless driving.

The plane's landing gear blew apart during takeoff, damaging one of the engines.
The pilot dumped his fuel over the Mediterranean Sea before bringing the plane down.

Terry Labonte moved past Dale Jarrett late in the race and he holds on to win the Pontiac Excitement 400 at Richmond

The race was over 100 laps old when Michael Waltrip gets tapped and scraps the wall bringing out the first caution.
Moments later Rick Mast went to the Garage area with some coming from his car.
On the restart Terry Labonte would go to the point to lead the race his chevrolet looking very strong at this point in the event.
A caution came out later but Mark Martin would come from the middle of the pack to lead the race at the halfway point.
Dale Jarrett also in a ford was having a good run he would take over first place with about 129 laps to go in the race.
Pole sitter Jeff Gordon fell behind early with about 62 laps to go he was running in second place but with less than 40 laps to go Gordon loses control and hits the wall bringing out the caution.
The race was red flagged with 7 laps to go and and Terry Labonte bumped Jarrett and he takes the checkered flag under caution wining the Pontiac Excitement 400.

Sanchez Vicario would win the first set in a close match and lose the second 0-6 before coming back and winning the final set 6-2. It was Sanchez-Vicario's fourth career grand slam title and her her third in Paris.
The victory spoiled what would have been a fairy tale ending for Seles, who was playing three weeks after her the death of her father.
