His 21-year old friend Michael Perry died later at a Roanoke hospital.

Both men are from Blacksburg and were riding on the motorcycle when it crashed head-on into a truck.
The driver of the pick-up, 26-year old John Claude Love, was charged with driving under the influence and felony hit and run.

Fisher was driving a pick-up truck that collided with a car last May in Elliston.
A seven-year old girl riding in the back of the truck was thrown onto the road and killed.
Fisher also pleaded no contest to possession of marijuana.
He could face eleven years in prison when sentenced in August.

The Roanoke police officers involved in an arrest in 19-93 each used the term "choke hold" to describe what happened.
They managed to subdue 20- year old Eric Scott Lee, but he died... of asphixiation.
The medical examiner has sided with Lee's family- -and against the police- -in a civil suit being heard this week in federal court.

Roche Laboratories says the drug causes potentially dangerous interactions with more than 25 other medications ranging from antihistamines to antibiotics.
But the Food and Drug Administration is warning patients who take Posicor for high blood pressure or chronic angina not to stop taking it immediately.
Health officials say a sudden stoppage can be risky, so they're urging patients to talk to their doctors about alternative therapy.
